Houston Dash have signed Mexican Women’s National Team goalkeeper Emily Alvarado from French Top Division side Stade de Reims Féminines, the team announced today. Alvarado has signed a one year contract season with an option for another one year.

Houston Dash General Manager Alex Singer said, “We’re excited to add Emily to our squad. She is a young, talented, and ambitious keeper that brings a winning mentality to our locker room. Her professional and international experience under her belt will bring competition and depth to our talented goalkeeper group. We look forward to having her in Houston.”

Alvarado joined Reims Féminines prior to the start of the 2021-2022 season and made 39 career appearances for the French side. She featured in every match since her arrival at Reims.

A Dash Youth alum, Alvarado debuted with the Mexican Women’s National Team on May 26, 2019, in an international friendly against the U.S Women’s National Team.
