San Diego Wave FC team news

After topping the scoring charts in the 2022 season with 16 and already showing no signs of slowing down with a goal in the club’s 3-2 win over Chicago last weekend, San Diego Wave forward Alex Morgan will look to lead her team to victory again this weekend. Other forwards Amirah Ali (22’) and Jaedyn Shaw (32’) also netted to help their team collect maximum points and will be eager to increase their tally. The win was the team’s seventh home win in 13 attempts with other games ending in four draws and two defeats.

San Diego will be hoping for more control and poise against Courage as they had to comeback from from behind against Chicago Fire Stars, thanks to a two goals in ten minutes salvo from Ali and Shaw. Morgan will undoubtedly be the player to watch for Wave FC.

North Carolina Courage team news

Brazilian forward Kerolin remains the mainstay of a Courage team that has gone through a massive reshuffle. Kerolin led in shots attempted (4) and two of which where on target. Off-season arrival Mille Gejl who transferred from BK Häcken scored on her NWSL regular season debut and will look to keep the momentum going into this match. The 1-0 opening day win over the Current was the club’s fourth consecutive victory dating back to 2022.
