Chelsea striker Sam Kerr habours dreams of a World Cup and Women’s Champions League double.

The Chelsea front woman has said she has her eyes firmly on the coveted double before the end of the season.

With her short career laden with silverware having won all that’s there to play for on the domestic front, Kerr desires to lay hands on UEFA Women’s Champions which still eludes her.

“One of the main reasons I came to Europe was to win the Champions League,” says the 29-year-old Australian.

“Going to the final and losing – I kind of got the taste for it. Now that’s the main goal: to win. It means even more now than it did when I first came, ” Kerr recalls the 2021 match against Barcelona that did not go to plan.

“Every football fan wants to turn on the TV and see those big matches, those big rivalries,” she says.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s men’s or women’s football: it’s the same format, it’s the same game and people are jumping on board and watching it.”

Kerr has netted five goals d far this season, helping Chelsea to finish above Paris and Real Madrid.
