Speaking to the media after announcing the squad, coach Priestman emphasized the importance of tournament saying: “Every camp we have, it becomes more and more difficult to select a roster, which speaks to the quality in the squad.  With some core players still out with long-term injuries, it provides us with a great opportunity to explore more talent against top World Cup opposition.”

Canada’s first match sees them take hosts and strong favorites USA on the 16th of February in before squaring off against Brazil of the 19th and then Japan three days later.

All of Canada’s matches will take place across the three cities of Orlando, Nashville and Frisco respectively.
