Mallory Swanson suffered a torn patella tendon against Ireland on Saturday, U.S Soccer has announced.

According to Bleacher Report Football, the forward has suffered a long-term injury and will likely miss the World Cup this summer.

Swanson, who had eight goals for the USWNT this year, has since been replaced by Alyssa Thompson ahead of Tuesday’s friendly in St. Louis.
