Bayern München influential midfielder Linda Dallmann will be out for the rest of the season after suffering an injury during Bayern’s recent 2-0 DFB Cup win against TSG Hoffenheim.
Linda Dallmann tore her left anterior syndesmosis ligament and will require surgery, an official announcement by the club revealed.
Bayern said in a statement, “Dallmann must now undergo surgery (on Friday). The diagnosis means an early end to the season.”
The injury will see the midfielder miss key UEFA Women’s Champions League quarterfinals vs. Arsenal.
Linda Dallmann also faces a race to be fit for this year’s Women’s World Cup in July.
